Intro

Lavender, the email intelligence platform, built Ora—its new AI prospecting agent—during a pivotal stage of growth. Differentiated by pulling rich signals across the web, Ora builds 1:1 prospect profiles and uses an “empathy layer” to understand prospects’ emotional states and communication preferences. It then crafts 1:1 email sequences guided by the hundreds of billions of sales email datapoints they’ve analyzed.

While still in beta, the product messaging on newly launched ora.im remained intentionally light. As Co-founder Will Allred explained, “The goal is to get them to sign up for the wait list, not to give them some crystal clear picture of what the product does.” Lavender’s brand halo continued to drive strong inbound traffic to both domains, giving Ora significant visibility in its pre-launch stage.

Will wanted Spara to serve as an alternative workflow for more curious site visitors, giving them a way to engage and ask questions without disrupting the beta experience.

Challenge

With a lean sales team, every unqualified lead wasted precious time. To bridge the gap, Ora needed a way to answer visitor questions at scale, qualify interest instantly, and improve conversion rates without growing headcount.

Existing solutions were too cumbersome to deliver value in the short launch timeline Ora needed. As Will put it, “We needed something that could engage visitors in a real conversation, qualify interest, and route them to the right next step. We didn’t have time to set up a complex prompt-heavy workflow.”

As Will explained, “I want Spara to default to discovery as opposed to just giving the answer unless they really hammer on, ‘Tell me how much it costs.’”

Spara became a live experiment, an A/B test against Ora’s original strategy of keeping the website intentionally light. Within days, Navigator was filling the gaps for these more skeptical buyers that the site experience left behind. Visitors could get their questions answered, explore product details, and book calls without waiting for a rep. When a call wasn’t the right fit, Spara captured emails to continue the nurture process.

The impact was immediate: a new inbound customer signed within days of launch. Just as importantly, the team was able to deploy quickly and optimize for unexpected customer questions without any heavy technical lift.As Will noted about the platform’s flexibility, “I’d review the key questions daily—our instructions for how we want Spara to answer the most important buyer questions—make a few minor tweaks, and Spara would handle them perfectly the next time they were asked.”
